The Dining Room

I collected the chairs over two years from three states and paid between one hundred and two hundred eighty dollars each. They are all ladderbacks with rush seats, and that shared language is enough to make six different chairs read as a set.

The table is pine and already had two hundred marks on it when it arrived, which means I have never once worried about a water ring.

The only pattern in the room is a pleated chintz shade on a brass candlestick lamp on the sideboard. In a room this plain, one pattern does an enormous amount of work.
